Private Health Insurance 

If you have Private Health Insurance you may be able to get a rebate for physiotherapy sessions. Cover varies between providers and your own level of cover. Please contact your private health fund to confirm if your plan covers physiotherapy services. 




Bayside Kids Physio is able to provide services to children with an NDIS plan who are self or plan managed.

Chronic disease Management plan (Medicare 10960) 

Formally known as an Enhanced Primary Care plan, this is a Medicare-rebated funding program for people who have a chronic medical condition.  This package provides a rebate for 5 allied health sessions per calendar year. 

Rebate currently $52.95


How to access this funding:

  • Your child may be eligible for this funding package if they have a chronic medical condition and if that condition is being managed by their GP.  This plan is completed by your GP who will then give you a referral form or send your child's referral form to your therapist.


Sessions are paid for as usual on the day, and you will be provided with a receipt to take to Medicare to claim your rebate. You are not able to claim through Private Health Insurance for sessions that have been rebated through Medicare. 


Medicare Items for Helping Children with Autism (HWCA) or Better Start (82030/82035)

Children who were eligible for Better Start or Helping Children with Autism funding can access the Medicare Items if referred by their Specialist (137) or GP (139)

A treatment and management plan must be prepared before your child turns 13

Patient’s can access rebates for up to 4 Allied Health assessment visits and 20 treatment visits prior to turning 15

Rebate currently $74.80
